The Eastern New Mexico Bluegrass And Old Tyme Music Association offers a music education scholarship in the amount of $250.00. This scholarship is offered annually or biannually to an individual pursuing a degree in music. The successful applicant must be either enrolled in or in the process of enrolling in an accredited music program. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in bluegrass, old tyme, or country music.
Requirements: 1. The applicant must be a resident of Quay County, New Mexico and must be interested in music as a career or avocation. 2. Applicant must be enrolled in or in the process of enrolling in a music program.
Applicants must submit the following: 1. A typed letter of request. This letter will explain the applicant's music goals and explain why the scholarship would benefit him or her. (Limit: 300 words) 2. A copy of a college transcript showing current enrollment in a music program or a letter of acceptance into a music program from an educational institution.
Upon receiving complete applications for the scholarship, the association will convene a screening meeting and select an awardee if warranted. The scholarship will be awarded in a timely manner and will be given directly to the successful applicant.

Applications are valid for a single submittal. Applicants may reapply each new semester.
